dentists have dental problems too!

Well I had a tooth pulled 3 days ago. It was my lower left 2nd molar and the root was fractured. I called my friend who is an excellent oral surgeon, Dr. Lubitz, who looked at my x-ray and agreed- my tooth was "a goner"- hopeless- kaput! He placed some topical anesthetic near the tooth, got it totally numb and in less time than it takes to say " extraction", the tooth was painlessly out. Since I may have an implant placed in the future, Dr. Lubitz placed bone graft material , a couple of sutures, and I was on my way. Just to be safe, I took some pain medication and antibiotic. So far everything is going well. I think it helps to address issues before they become super pain problems.
